The Championship is to be played in two separate stages. The first stage of the championship will be Stroke Play over 18 holes. This will decide the County Seniors Handicap Champion along with the subsidiary competitions in age groups for the competitors returning the best scratch and net score in each age group 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and over 70. The top eighteen players will play a further 18 holes the following day to find the County Seniors Champion.
The “Seniors Champion Trophy”: to be held for one year and a Silver Medal will be awarded to the competitor returning the best Scratch score over 36 holes. He will be known as the County Seniors Champion.
The “Seniors Handicap Trophy”, to be held for one year and will be awarded to the competitor returning the best net score over 18 holes on the first day of the Stroke Play Competition. He will be known as the County Seniors Handicap Champion.
