Dorset County Women's 2nd Team

There are 10 players in the second team squad from clubs across Dorset

Supporters are always welcome to attend matches, and we look forward to seeing you on the course in 2026, encouraging all our teams.

The team play 2 matches in the year against other South West Counties. The matches consist of foursomes in the morning, followed by singles in the afternoon.

Winners of this round go forward to the SW Second Team Finals.

In preparation for County matches, the second team play warm up fixtures.

To be considered for the 2nd team, the Captain will look at previous County experience, commitment, current form and being a team player. 

Currently WHS handicap index standard for a team member is 11 handicap or below.

Team members are also expected to attend pre-season training session.

SW rules (from 2023) allow for past first team members with Colours to be eligible to play in second team matches, provided their handicap is above 5 and that it is more than 5 years since they played in first Fixtures.
