Bronze Medal Finish for Dorset Girls

Alresford Cup 2025

Dorset fielded a junior girls team led by team captain Amelia Slavin against 8 other counties in the annual Alresford Cup on Sunday 21st Sept. Returning as cup holders from 2023 when the match was last played, the 6 girl teams of specific handicap ranges played a Stableford format with the best 4 aggregated scores counting towards the team total with prizes for best team and individual score provided. The long summer and recent rainfall meant the course was in excellent condition for the match with the weather holding out during the day. Well done to the Dorset team of Amelia Slavin, Immie Stratman, Abi Cartwright-Terry, Ella Woods, Abigail Wyatt, and Emma Bailey for rallying on the back nine helping to secure a credible 3rd place with congratulations to Surrey for the win.
