For the second year running Dorset are the winners of the South West Inter-Counties Competition 2024

Huge congratulations to Dorset First team who retained the SW Trophy by winning the Championship at Perranporth. The team have worked hard together over the winter and all that hard work paid off.

The camaraderie and support within the team was amazing, the golf exceptional and the win, incredible. It was a very proud moment for Claire and Harriet to be presented with the trophy amongst such prestigious people and a real honour to be crowned SW Champions.

As a result of the success, the team now go forward to represent the SW at the National Finals, September 20-22nd, at Stover GC.

Thanks go to all the players, a heroic captain, Harriet, who carried us over the line, Paul who was so inspirational throughout, Sue (our stand in president) who undertook a number of roles that helped the week to run so smoothly, Claire, who managed the team and all the preparations, and to all the support team – Mick, parents, friends, and Stitch the dog!
